Of the many things that hold great value for me, all of them come from the priceless place of connecting with people, be them long-time friends or new faces found on new adventures. Relationships are my not-so-secret recipe for filling days with delight.

Raw connections between loved ones are what I gravitate toward the most. And quite often, the tender and fleeting moments that happen between poses are the sweetest ones. The grazing of fingertips, the shared laughter, and even the spontaneous cries of a child all hold unique beauty within them. It's my intention to capture these moments and turn them into imagery that you and your loved one will cherish for time to come.

THE POETRY OF FILM

Inspired by poetic movement, romantic grain, and that cinematic je ne sais quoi, film allows me to create not only traditional wedding images, but also painterly works of art that will become a beautiful addition to your personal history. The greatest, most iconic weddings in history were photographed on film and remain timeless and sought-after to this day.

My husband and I were so fortunate to work with Katie for our wedding photography. We met Katie last year during a family Christmas card photo session, and I loved the quality beautiful, light quality to her photos. During our wedding day, Katie was a wonderful partner - she has an artistic sensibility, and she really understood "our vision". Katie is a fine art photographer based out of Chicago's North Shore traveling where her work takes her.

With a degree in both art & literature I combine an editorial approach with a love of candid photography and medium format film to create imagery that cannot only be seen but be felt. With an education in art and literature, and a profound love for nature, Kathryn brings her unique perspective and a photojournalist's eye to every client.
