Heather contacted me to get some family pictures for her three children Tommy, Maia, and Ascher. She said it had been way too long since she had been able to get some candid photos. So they all joined me for a family session in Lake bluff on what turned out to a beautiful afternoon filled with sunshine, giggles, and flowers – lots, and lots of flowers!
When I book a client located in my area, I typically take them to one of my favorite trails in Lake Forest’s Open Lands. Opens Lands happens to be near and dear to my family’s heart, an organization we proudly support in many ways. My father in law has served on the board of this organization for as many years I can remember, until just very recently and my husband now serves on the Junior board. The organization provides many natural areas, walking paths, and nature education opportunities for all ages. Anyway, the trails NEVER fail to provide the perfect backdrop for my photography.
So it was with pleasure, that these three young children joined me on an “adventure” a pretend bear hunt of sorts.
Heather booked an hour with me which allowed us to really take our time, let the kids warm up to me and the process, and make the session more of an adventure. I was able to take a step back and really just document their time together, and more importantly their connection. And the best part. . . the kids ran, walked, talked, and giggled for over an hour and went right to bed after – perfect for a busy mom!!
